Late in 2017, Tools 4 Teachers were successful with the RFP process for delivering centrally funded PLD. Schools that are currently working with us will not notice any difference but it means that we have been recognised as having suitable processes and knowledge to negotiate PLD contracts with the Ministry of Education rather than working through another organisation.

Erin McKechnie is joining us in 2018 to provide literacy and ESOL professional development. Her particular speciality is working with English Language learners and those learners who are not meeting expectations. If you are looking to upskill teachers with meeting the needs of English Language learners or develop more knowledge with using the English Language Learning Progressions (ELLP), Erin can provide in-depth support with this. Please contact Jane, Ph. 021 0376870 or jane@tools4teachers.co.nz, if you are looking for this type of professional development support.

In Term 2, 2017 Andy Butler joined Tools 4 Teachers. Andy is a highly experienced classroom teacher, school leader and PLD facilitator. She is able to provide professional development in both literacy and mathematics. Andy's contact details are: andy@tools4teachers.co.nz  Ph.027 2861582

Jane and Charlene have both been accredited by the Ministry of Education and can provide Ministry funded PLD now. Erin and Andy are both currently working through the processes required by the Ministry to be accredited.

If you are interested in talking to us about providing PLD to your school, either through a private arrangement or using centrally funded hours, please contact either Jane or Charlene directly to talk about it.
